Mis Raíces Profundas looks back at the work that has shaped Arenas Dance Company and director Susana Arenas Pedroso’s roots. The afternoon will also honor the legacy of Pedrosos ‘s late teacher, Juan de Dios, founder of the famed Cuban dance company, Raíces Profundas, now celebrating its 50th anniversary. The afternoon will include a mix of Cuban Folkloric and popular dance performances and celebrate Rumba, the dance that has come to represent Cuba’s cultural identity, and look back at the work of Arenas Dance Company. Plan to stay after for the dance party! RumabArenas Carnaval will also appear!
All ticket sales go directly back into supporting the work of Arenas Dance Company. There will also be a silent auction and raffle!
