We will gather at “Kelly’s Cove.” Park at Balboa and the Great Highway and go down stairs #1 and head toward the water. Look to the right for a Cuban flag.

“El Día de Yemayá” refers to celebrations and rituals honoring Yemayá, the powerful Yoruba orisha of motherhood and the sea. In Cuba Yemaya is honored on Sept 7. Join Susana Arenas Pedroso and drummers for this special dance class to honor Yemaya at the beach. Blue and white clothing is encouraged. You are also welcome to bring white flowers and fruit as an offering.
